Hi! I am a junior, and I founded this organization to help raise awareness about the discrepancies in healthcare concerning the minority community. Moreover, Minorities in Med strives to provide enrichment opportunities to those in minority communities who have not been exposed to all the possibilities in healthcare, and to encourage more members of the minority community to pursue careers in healthcare. Currently, my interest in medicine stems from my passion to help renovate the field of healthcare to be more minority inclusive, as well as my love for neurological sciences. I also enjoy cooking, swimming, and playing piano.

Currently, I'm interested in the STEM field, mainly engineering, but I am open with educating myself in other subjects. In my spare time, I enjoy watching scary movies, baking, and participating in the arts.

Hi! I am a junior in high school, as well as a researcher in minorities in med. Many people aspire to work in the medical field, but not all know about the discrepancies in medicine, so I hope to spread awareness through the work I do for minorities in med. Other than medicine, I enjoy watching new movies and spending time with my family.

Hi! I am a junior in high school, and I've been surrounded by medicine since I was a child. My parents and almost all my relatives are part of the medical field; thus, I've always wanted to become a doctor since I was young. In second grade, I took that dream farther and decided to become a neurosurgeon after the appreciation and respect I felt for the neurosurgeon that treated my father during his surgery. I view medicine, especially neuroscience, as a treasure chest waiting to be uncovered. Though we've been following the map and discovering clues and hidden treasures along the way, there is still a long way to go. Thus, I want to join this expedition to understand more about the human body. I aspire to become an empathetic and selfless person who dedicates her life to her patients. I believe that everyone has a story to tell and by taking the time to listen to people's stories, we grow a little wiser everyday. I hope to share stories and experiences with not only my future patients but also the Minorities in Med members.
